Perched on beautiful Signal Mountain just 20 minutes from downtown Chattanooga, Tennessee, this unique getaway offers space to unwind, slow down, and reconnect. The property holds a special piece of local history, sitting directly next to the Connor Tollhouse—a landmark listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It beautifully marries historic mountain charm with modern, intentional comfort, creating a deeply peaceful sanctuary for ministry couples.
Designed with deep rest in mind, the living area features a cozy indoor hammock—the perfect nook to curl up with a good book, nap, or listen to the mountain breeze. For movie nights or binge-watching your favorite series, the living space transforms with a massive 108" projector screen equipped with Fire TV.
This expansive retreat encompasses the entire private second floor of the host's mountain home. Complete with your own exterior staircase and dedicated, keypad-entry front door, the space is completely seperate from the downstairs, functioning as your own private sanctuary.

Meet hosts Paul and Heather Manuel
Every Teamness pastor getaway is hosted by a caring and discerning couple who understand the challenges of church ministry, hold space to listen and care, and are sensitive to the need for couples to have ample time alone.
Paul and Heather Manuel met when Paul—whose plans to attend seminary in Orlando unexpectedly fell through—took a teaching job at Heather’s high school alma mater in South Florida. Paul jokes that God took him on a detour just to pick her up. They married in December 1993 and moved to Orlando in 1995 for Paul to begin seminary. Over the next 25+ years, they served in vocational ministry together: Paul as associate and lead pastor, Heather in women’s and children’s ministry, later transitioning into Early Childhood Administration and Christian Education. Having experienced ministry's demands firsthand, they’re excited to offer leaders a place to step away from the pace and pressure of ministry, to rest, laugh, and reconnect. They hope guests leave feeling seen, encouraged, and closer to each other than when they came. Paul and Heather have three adult children. Their oldest is married and has blessed them with two granddaughters. Their son lives nearby in Chattanooga, and their youngest daughter is in college.

While each pastor couple is unique, we often suggest the following schedule for the week:
-Monday - arrival 3pm or after - self check in. Dinner with hosts.-Tuesday - free morning. Afternoon activity with hosts.
-Wednesday - free day
-Thursday - free day, possible fire pit conversation with hosts.
-Friday - departure by 10am. -
